Golden Hammer Award
Ames is proud to be honored with the 2010 Golden Hammer award in the Lawn & Garden Tools & Irrigation category. This award recognizes the elite suppliers who demonstrate the greatest overall commitment in support of dealers. Voting was based on the following criteria: category management, inventory management, new product innovation, quality control and serving professionals.
Each year the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society investigates and celebrates community landscapes, gardens, and other green sites in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware tri-state area. This society acknowledges the efforts of those who keep their sites beautiful! The Community Greening Awards includes main streets, public parks, train stations, churches, schoolyards, libraries, traffic islands, and so on. The award is given based on plant variety, design, use of space, and horticultural practices. The Ames Community Garden, located at 465 Railroad Avenue, in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania was awarded this prestigious award for 2011. Team members of the garden and the Ames management team were honored guests of the First Lady of Pennsylvania on December 7th in Harrisburg Pennsylvania to receive the award.
