California Consumer Privacy Act Disclosure
Effective January 1, 2020
This California Consumer Privacy Act Disclosure describes how The AMES
Companies and its U.S. subsidiaries (“AMES”) comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act “CCPA”
when it collects, uses, and discloses California Resident’s personal information. This disclosure
applies solely to California residents and is supplemental to The AMES Companies Privacy Policy
What is Personal Information?
The CCPA defines personal information as information that identifies, relates to, describes,
isreasonably capable of being associated with, or could be reasonable linked, directly or
indirectly, with a particular consumer or household.
This CCPA disclosure does not apply to all the information we collect about your interactions with
AMES such as information necessary for legitimate business purposes and information retained in
compliance with laws.
What Categories of Personal Information does AMES collect?
The AMES Companies collects the following categories of personal information for the purpose of
verifying your identify, fulfilling customer orders, responding to customer inquiries and service
requests, fulfilling warranty claims, advancing product development, maintaining internal business
records, conduct advertising and market analysis, and complying with our obligations under the law.

Disclosure to Third Parties
In the past 12 months, the AMES Companies has disclosed one or more of the above listed categories
of personal information with our affiliates, subsidiaries, service providers, third parties with
whom you authorize disclosure (for example, credit card processing), and government requests in
compliance with our obligations under the law.
The AMES Companies does not share your personal information in a manner that we consider a sale of
personal information within the meaning of the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Your California Consumer Privacy Rights
In addition to The AMES Companies Privacy
Policy, California
residents have the right to request
that we disclose to you the following information collected about you in the past 12 months. You
may
request part or all of this information up to twice in a twelve month period.
- - The categories, categories of sources, and specific personal information we have
collected
about you;
- - The business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information;
- - The categories of third parties with whom we shared your personal information;
- - The categories of personal information about you that we sold or disclosed for a
business
purpose, and the categories of third parties to whom we sold or disclosed your personal
information for a business purpose.
California residents may also request that we completely and permanently delete personal
information
that we have collected about you; however, your request is subject to the legal reasons we may
deny
part or all of your request.
The AMES Companies does not sell your personal information.
The California Consumer Privacy Act provides that AMES may retain certain personal information
for
legitimate business purposes, as evidence of our compliance with a CCPA request, in archived
records, or in compliance with federal, state or local laws. AMES legitimate business purposes
include, but are not limited to, compliance with public accounting regulations, internal market
analysis, and warranty fulfillment.
The AMES Companies does not charge different prices, deny business, or provide different quality
of
goods or services based on the exercise of your CCPA rights.
How California Residents May Make a CCPA Rights Request
California residents may submit their CCPA rights requests through one of the following channels:
To best protect your personal information you may receive an email or other contact requesting to
verify your identify including a request for additional information sufficient to verify your
identity. CCPA requests may also be made by your authorized agents with sufficient documentation
proving authorization such as a power of attorney and your direct verification of their authority.
By submitting a CCPA rights request you are certifying under
the penalty of law that you are a California resident and the person whose personal information is
the subject of the request.
This AMES Companies California Consumer Privacy Act Disclosure is subject to future changes or
updates.
